# What You'll Need:
→ Proteins
01 - 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
→ Vegetables
02 - 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 small onion, thinly sliced (optional)
→ Sauce
05 - 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
06 - 1/4 cup beef broth or water
07 - 2 tbsp oyster sauce
08 - 1 tbsp cornstarch
09 - 1 tbsp brown sugar
10 - 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
11 - 1 tsp sesame oil
12 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
→ Cooking
13 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil (canola or peanut oil)
# Directions:
01 - In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, oyster sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper. Set aside.
02 - Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes until just browned. Remove beef from pan and set aside.
03 - Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the pan. Add broccoli florets, onion if using, and garlic. Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and crisp-tender.
04 - Return beef to the pan. Stir the sauce briefly and pour it over the beef and vegetables. Toss together and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats all ingredients evenly.
05 - Serve hot, ideally over steamed rice or noodles.
